Little Spanish Chefs: Creche kids prepare mantecados!

Today’s Christmas party at Crèche kindergarten had a very Spanish flavour: in collaboration with the Spanish Semester, thanks to Cristina Martínez and his daughter Martina, the kids from Castoro and Volpe sections prepared mantecados.

A mantecado is a traditional Spanish confection characterized by its crumbly and buttery texture. Originating from the region of Andalusia, Spain, this sweet treat is often made with simple ingredients such as flour, sugar, and ample amounts of lard. The dough is typically shaped into small, flat rounds before being baked to perfection!
